Wucherl Yoo is a research scientist in the Scientific Data Management Research Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He received PhD in computer science from UIUC in 2012. His research interests are high performance data systems, machine learning mechanisms for large-scale data analysis, and automated performance optimization. He has recently developed an analytical model to predict available bandwidth for edge-to-edge network paths for network performance and interference system. He also developed an automated software system that can identify performance bottlenecks resident in applications and systems with machine learning techniques to fingerprint and identify the patterns of predominant hardware events associated with resource bottleneck in the parallel applications and systems.
