Yasser Mohammad is an Assistant Professor, Electrical Engineering Department, Assiut University, Egypt and is currently a JSPS Fellow at Kyoto University, Japan. He received his B.sc. and M.sc. in Electrical Engineering from Assiut University in 1998 and 2004 and his PhD in Intelligence Science and Technology from Kyoto University in 2009. He published over 55 articles in international journals and conferences. He received the best paper award from IEA/AIE 2009 and 2010 and IEEE/SICE SII 2011. He acted as the PI for two GCOE projects in Kyoto University in years 2008 and 2009. His research focuses on using unsupervised learning techniques for HRI and mining time series data.
