Conference Venue

Computing Conference 2019 will be held in London which is a leading global city, with strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transport all contributing to its prominence.

London has a diverse range of peoples and cultures, and more than 300 languages are spoken within its boundaries. London has been described as a world cultural capital. It is the world's most-visited city and has the world's largest city airport system measured by passenger traffic.

London's 43 universities form the largest concentration of higher education in Europe. In 2012 London became the first city to host the modern Summer Olympic Games three times.

Accommodation Information

The Conference is non-residential and delegates are requested to make their own accommodation/ hotel bookings.

Transport Information

Airport Information

  • London Heathrow Airport (LHR): From London Heathrow Airport, taxis can take you directly to the hotel. The journey normally takes 40-50 minutes from the airport to the hotel forecourt.
  • London City Airport (LCY): The London City Airport is approximately 12 miles/45 minutes by taxi from the hotel

Arriving to the venue by Underground (Tube)
Three Tube stations are within a few minutes' walk of the hotel - Regent's Park, Great Portland Street and Warren Street.

Parking
Self-Parking Fee: 40 GBP. An NCP car park is below the hotel. Please note that the car park is externally owned and managed. Charges are £40 per 24 hours subject to change. £28 up to 3 hours Please note that the hotel is within the central london congestion charge zone.

Visa Information

It is the travelers responsibility to check and confirm current visa requirements to enter United Kingdom. You may check with the UK Border Agency whether you need a visa and how to obtain one if necessary.

Requests for Visa Support Letters
For security purposes, the conference has policy for issuing official Visa Support Letters as follows:
  • Visa Support Letters will be issued only after you have successfully registered and paid for your conference.
  • Visa Support Letters can only be issued for the person accepted to attend the conference. Unfortunately we cannot issue Visa Support Letters for guests of participants.

Visa Support Letters will be issued via email in PDF format. Please contact the Conference Manager at [email protected] to arrange for a Visa Support Letter. You must include:

  • Your name as appears on your passport
  • Your Date of Birth
  • Your Passport Number
  • Passport Date of Issue
  • Passport Date of Expiry
  • And, if you are an author of an accepted paper or poster, please provide the title.

Note: Obtaining a Visa Support Letter from SAI Computing Conference will not guarantee that your U.K. visa application will be approved. The letter is merely supplementary information that explains a visa applicant's intended purpose of travel to United Kingdom.
