Ramèz M. Daoud (S’00, M’09) received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Control Engineering in 2000 and 2004 respectively from Cairo University, Egypt and his D.Sc. in Control and Industrial Informatics with High Honors from Universite de Valenciennes, France in 2008. He was a teaching and research assistant at the Electronics Engineering Department, American University in Cairo, Egypt from 2001 to 2008. He participated in the preparation of the ABET documents and visit for the Electronics Engineering Department accreditation in 2007. He received the IEEE SMCia/05 “Best Industrial Application Certificate” in 2005 from the IEEE SMC society and is a member of the Industrial Relations Committee for the IEEE SMC society. He also received the “Best Student Presentation Award” of the IEEE ConTel in 2007. He is a founding member of the SEAD research group at AUC. He is an honorary member of the INTERNATIONAL SAR, a member of the IEEE IES NBCS, a reviewer of the International Journal of Factory Automation, Robotics and Soft Computing and an Associate Editor of the International Journal of Systems, Control and Communications. His research interests include digital circuit design, wireless communications, automotive control, vehicular technology, car automation, real-time systems, networked control systems, and industrial automation and informatics. He is currently Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Electronics Engineering Department at the American University in Cairo and Head of the After-Sales and Engineering office of KAMA Trading/BOSCH Packaging Technology, Egypt.>
