SAI Conferences Code of Conduct Policy

SAI Conferences is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form.

All participants, including attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers, are expected to abide by this code of conduct policy. Any violations of this policy will not be tolerated and may result in the offender being asked to leave the conference or being banned from attending future SAI Conferences events.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

  • Verbal comments that are offensive, derogatory, or discriminatory
  • Physical or verbal intimidation, including unwelcome physical contact
  • Sexual harassment or sexual advances
  • Bullying or cyberbullying
  • Stalking or following someone in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable or unsafe
  • Offensive gestures or language, including use of slurs or derogatory terms
  • Discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices
  • Deliberate disruption of talks, sessions, or other events

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please notify a member of the conference staff immediately. Conference staff can be identified by their name badges or conference t-shirts.

Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance and hope that you have an enjoyable and productive experience at SAI Conferences events.

Reporting Procedures

If you experience or witness harassment, please report it immediately to conference staff. You can also contact the conference organizers directly at [email protected]. All reports will be kept confidential.

SAI Conferences will investigate all complaints and take appropriate action against anyone found to have violated this code of conduct policy. This may include expulsion from the conference, banning from future events, and/or legal action.
