Sandra S. Ferreira received her Master degree in Mathematics from the University of Évora in 2000 and a Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from University of Beira Interior in 2006. She is currently a Auxiliar Professor at University of Beira Interior and a researcher of Center of Mathematics and member of Center of Mathematics and Applications at New University of Lisbon. She is an active researcher in the fields of linear models, delta method, F distributions, discriminant analysis and some areas related with statistics. She is currently a Associate Editor Membership of Journal of Statistics and Mathematics and member of Editorial board of Journal of Education, Psychology and Social Sciences during 2013. She has been reviewer of WSEAS-Transactions on Mathematics and other publications and she participates in the “Linear Mixed Models”project, 2007-2010 and also participate in PEst-OE/MAT/UI0212/2011 and PEst-OE/MAT/UI0297/2011 projects, from FCT, Portugal. Now she is member of the “Lifelong Learning Programme” developing the Project School on Cloud. She received the best Paper Award at the International Conference on Applied Mathematics, Simulation, Modelling (ASM'11). She is a member of Portuguese Society of Statistics and she has served as a chair in 5th Workshop on Statistics, Mathematics and Computation-methods and applications at University of Algarve in 2011 and member of Organizing Committee of XIV Annual Congress of Portuguese Society of Statistics in September 2006. She has been serving also a member of Organizing Committee of 7th Workshop on Statistics, Mathematics and Computation in Tomar 2013 and member of Organizing Committee of 5th International Conference on Risk Analysis in Tomar also in 2013. She has been an invited speaker in some international conferences and she has publications in peer-reviewed international journals and proceedings in the domains of Mathematics and Statistics.
