Transportation

As you prepare for your conference, it's important to familiarize yourself with the transportation options available in this vibrant city. Whether you're staying close to the conference venue or planning to explore the city during your free time, Berlin offers a variety of convenient transportation choices to suit your needs.

Arriving at Berlin Airport:

• Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER): From BER Airport Terminal 1–2 Station, take S9 (direction Spandau) or S45 (direction Südkreuz) → Ride to “S Adlershof” (about 12 minutes). At S Adlershof, transfer to Tram 63 (direction Köpenick, Hirtestraße). Ride about 10–12 min to “Köllnischer Platz”. NYX Hotel Berlin Köpenick is right across the street.

Public Transportation:

Tickets and Passes:

To use public transportation in Berlin, you will need a valid ticket. The city operates on a zone-based fare system, and tickets can be purchased for individual trips or as daily, weekly, or monthly passes. Options include:

• Single Ticket: Ideal for a one-way journey within a specific zone.
• Day Ticket: Allows unlimited travel within the selected zones for one day.
• WelcomeCard: A tourist-oriented ticket that provides unlimited travel for 48 or 72 hours, along with discounts at various attractions.
• AB/ABC Zones: The AB zone ticket covers the central areas of Berlin, while the ABC ticket extends to the surrounding suburbs.

Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines at U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations, or via mobile apps. Remember to validate your ticket before boarding or immediately after entering a bus or tram.

Requests for Visa Support Letters

For security purposes, the conference has policy for issuing official Visa Support Letters as follows:

• Visa Support Letters will be issued only after you have successfully registered and paid for your conference.
• Visa Support Letters can only be issued for registered attendees of the conference. Unfortunately we cannot issue Visa Support Letters for guests of attendees.

Visa Support Letters will be issued via email in PDF format. Please contact the Conference Manager at [email protected] to arrange for a Visa Support Letter. You must include:

• Your name as appears on your passport
• Your Date of Birth
• Your Passport Number
• Passport Date of Issue
• Passport Date of Expiry
• And, if you are an author of an accepted paper or poster, please provide the title.

Note: Obtaining a Visa Support Letter from Computer Vision Conference will not guarantee that your visa application will be approved. The letter is merely supplementary information that explains a visa applicant's intended purpose of travel to Germany.
