Bogdan Oancea is a Professor Ph.D. at the University of Bucharest, specializing in computer science, computational statistics, and mathematical modeling. Bogdan Oancea has served as a short-term expert for the World Bank Group, contributing to different projects. He is also the Director of the Innovative Tools in Official Statistics Department at the National Institute of Statistics, leading research in AI, big data, and the integration of new data sources in official statistics production. Additionally, he advises Ph.D. candidates at the Technical University of Ostrava and has been an invited professor at Complutense University in Madrid. Bogdan Oancea holds a Ph.D. in Cybernetics and Statistics, a BSc in Economic Informatics, and a BSc in Physics.
