Dr. Jaber Eid Abu Qudeiri is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University, Al Ain, UAE. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing) from Gifu University, Japan, in 2008, following his MSc. (2005) from the same institution and BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Jordan in 1992. Dr. Abu Qudeiri has over two decades of academic and research experience, having served in several reputable institutions including UAEU, King Saud University, King Abdulaziz University, and Philadelphia University. His expertise spans advanced manufacturing systems, non-traditional machining processes, additive manufacturing, metal matrix composites, CAD/CAM, CNC tool path optimization, and artificial intelligence applications in manufacturing. He has an extensive research portfolio with over 100 publications in high-impact journals and international conferences, covering topics such as intelligent manufacturing systems, optimization of machining processes, additive manufacturing, and biomedical implant design. He has successfully secured and led multiple research grants as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator, focusing on smart manufacturing, advanced materials, and sustainable production systems. Dr. Abu Qudeiri is actively involved in postgraduate supervision and has supervised several PhD and MSc students, contributing significantly to research capacity building in advanced manufacturing and engineering design. In addition to his academic contributions, he is an inventor with four patents in the field of biomedical and mechanical design, including innovations related to hip implants and engineering devices, reflecting his strong engagement in applied research and technology development. He has received several awards, including the Best Paper Award (ICACTE 2014) and the UAEU Chancellor’s Innovation Award, and has contributed to curriculum development, learning factory initiatives, and digital manufacturing education. He also serves as a reviewer and editorial contributor for several leading international journals in manufacturing and mechanical engineering
