Dr Ivan Mezei was born on January 26, 1975. in Novi Sad, Yugoslavia. He graduated (dipl. ing. and M.Sc.) on Faculty of technical sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia in 1999. and 2005. Doctoral thesis “Auction aggregation algorithms for the task assignment in multihop wireless sensor and actuator networks”, defended on 12. july 2012. His current research interest is in the field of: Wireless sensor networks, Wireless sensor and actor networks, Wireless sensor and robot networks. He published 2 book chapters, 10 journal papers and 36 conference papers. He was involved as researcher in several international and national project (in two FP7 projects he acted as WP leader). Dr Mezei acted as a reviewer for 10 journals, 7 conferences and was member of TPC for 6 conferences. He works as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of technical sciences, University of Novi Sad, Serbia and member of IEEE and ACM. Ivan is holding a Toitsudo Ryu Aikido black belt III Dan rank and certified as Operational trainer for Toitsudo Ryu Aikido. He is also the president of the Toitsudo Kai, organization for expansion and improvement of the Toitsudo Ryu Aikido. He likes to play the guitar with friends in the band “Voyage”.
