Yudong Zhang

Dr. Yudong Zhang is a full professor of the school of information science and technology at Nanjing Normal University, and a research scientist in Columbia University. He is the member of “The Hundred Talents Program of Nanjing Normal University”. He received a B.S. from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2004, and a M.S. from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 2007. He received his Ph.D. degree in Signal and Information Processing from Southeast University in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, he worked at Columbia University as a postdoc, and from 2012 he worked as an assistant research scientist at Columbia University and New York State Psychiatric Institute. His research interests focus on knowledge engineering, image processing. He is the author and co-author of 43 SCI-indexed papers, which include JAMA Psychiatry (IF: 13.74), Knowledge-based Systems (IF: 3.05), Journal of Food Engineering (IF: 2.57), Sensors (IF: 2.04), Expert Systems with Applications (IF: 1.96), Entropy (IF: 1.56), Digital Signal Processing (1.49), Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications (IF: 1.39), The Scientific World Journal (IF: 1.21), Mathematical Problems in Engineering (IF: 1.08), Computational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine (IF: 1.01), Journal of Biological Systems (IF: 0.95), Science in China-Information Science, IEEJ Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Engineering, etc. Besides, he is the author of 12 EI-indexed papers. He published two academic monographs (one in Chinese and the other in English). His papers are cited 1823 times with h-index of 26 till August/2014. He holds 6 patents, and 8 software copyrights. The paper “Mitochondrial Dysfunction as a Neurobiological Subtype of Autism Spectrum Disorder: Evidence From Brain Imaging” was published on top journal “JAMA Psychiatry”. It is the first time that scientist demonstrate the evidence of mitochondrial dysfunction in brain tissue of Autism Spectrum Disorder in vivo. The paper was reported by Reuters, NewsDaily, and other famous presses. Dr. Zhang is now the editor of the SCI-indexed journals of “Journal of Computer Information Systems (IF: 0.742)” and “Fundamenta Informaticae (IF: 0.479)”. In the past years, he was invited as the guest editor-in-chief of the SCI-indexed journals “Mathematical Problems in Engineering (IF: 1.08)”, “The Scientific World Journal (IF: 1.21)”, and “Sensors (IF: 2.04)”. Dr. Zhang is the honorary chair of “2013 International Conference on Systems Control, Simulation and Modeling (ICSCSM'13)”. He is the program chair of “2012 International Conference of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEE2012)”. He is the TPC of the conferences including “2013 Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining (AIDM2013)”, “2nd International Conference on Computer Application and System Modeling”, and “2nd International Conference on Management, Manufacturing and Materials Engineering”. Dr. Zhang is the principal investigator or co-investigator of Chinese National Scientific Foundation and American NIH Foundations. He is the reviewer of following journals including “IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part B”, “Information Sciences”, “Computers & Electrical Engineering”, “Center for Advanced Engineering Environments”, “Recent Patents on Electrical Engineering”, “International Journal of Communications, Network and System”, “International Journal of Engineering Intelligent Systems”, “International Journal of Intelligent Information Processing”, etc. He is a member of IEEE, IEICE, ACM, New York Academy of Science, Chinese Computer Federation, and China Institute of Electronics (CIE).
