Calin Ciufudean (M’08) was born in Suceava, Romania on 1962. He graduated the Romanian Technical University of Cluj Napoca in 1986, and received the Ph.D. degree in control systems from Ploiesti “Petroleum - Gas” University in 2000. His employment experience includes the Romanian Railway Company as head of the Remote Control Railway Laboratory Suceava (1990-2001). In 2001 he joined the “Stefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, Computers and Control Systems Department, where he currently is an Assoc. Professor. His special fields of interest include discrete event systems and diagnosis of control systems.
