Graduated in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Aveiro (1985), MSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (1992) and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (2002). Presently he is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the School of Sicence and Technology of the UTAD University and he is a senior researcher at the INESC-TEC. He is member of IFAC and IEEE and his research interests include modeling, instrumentation, control and robotics. He has been involved in several national and international funded projects.
