Sardar is a senior lecturer in Computer Science in the Faculty of Technology at the University of Sunderland, UK. He is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the Association for Computational Linguistics. Sardar was awarded PhD in Natural Language Processing from the University of Manchester and both MSc. in Informatics and BSc. (Hons) in Internet Computing from Northumbria University at Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Sardars research interest is in Artificial Intelligence (primarily, subjects closely related to natural language processing), Data Science and Cybersecurity (specifically, topics related to cybercrime, cyberbullying, anomaly and fraud detection). He is also interested in pedagogical research related to students learning and engagement through Information Technology. Sardar has presented papers in a number of national and international conferences and reviewed several conference and journal papers.
