Dr. Mahmoud Nasr is an Associate Professor at the Sanitary Engineering Department, Alexandria University, Egypt. Dr. Nasr has experienced and collaborated in various industrial projects (e.g., biogas and H2 production from anaerobic wastewater treatment during 2013 – 2018, with an investment of 34000 $USD; fish and biodiesel production from algae/phycoremediation during 2018 – now, with an investment of 85000 $USD; design of green infrastructure for stormwater management during 2017 – 2019, with an investment of 18000 $USD; synthesis of biochar from sewage sludge during 2019 – now, with an investment of 12000 $USD; nanotechnology application in the agricultural sector during 2019 – now, with an investment of 32000 $USD). Dr Nasr’s role is to work with State and local stakeholders in outreach to the community regarding research that impacts the citizens of Egypt and the MENA region. Moreover, he has conducted environmental consultations for the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency, regarding various national, regional, and international authorities or organizations in the fields of biodiversity monitoring, and environmental impact assessment.
