Dr Sana Alyaseri is a Senior Lecturer and AI researcher at Whitecliffe College, Auckland, New Zealand, with over 20 years of academic experience in computer science, artificial intelligence, and software development. She holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Auckland University of Technology (AUT), with research focusing on metaheuristic optimisation and procedural content generation for computer games. Her expertise spans machine learning, data science, explainable AI, and generative AI applications in education. Dr Alyaseri supervises postgraduate research projects and actively contributes to academic quality assurance, curriculum development, and student innovation initiatives, including leading Technology Expo activities. She is an IEEE member and currently serves as Treasurer of the IEEE New Zealand Council Executive Committee. She has published in international journals and IEEE conferences and regularly serves as a peer reviewer for journals and conferences in AI and computing.
