I am currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Technology at Illinois State University. I completed my Ph.D. from the College of Computing and Informatics at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. My research interests lie in the fields of Human Factors in Security and Privacy and Cyber Security awareness/education. I'm passionate about making ubiquitous security and privacy technologies easy for people to use. My research uses mixed methods towards the ultimate goal of giving end-users security controls they can understand and privacy they can control for the dynamic, pervasive computing environments of the future. I use qualitative research methods to develop research questions and empirical quantitative research to support formative findings.
