Khaled Ahmed is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Southern Illinois University. He was associate professor in the department of computer science, College of Computer and Information Technology at King Faisal University. Moreover, he was an assistant professor of Computer Science in the Department of Mathematic, Computer Science division at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He has over 15 years of experience in Academia, Research and Industry. His research background in Software Engineering, Distributed Systems, Parallel Computing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Intelligent Transport systems and published over 47 articles in journals and proceedings. He acted as PI and Co-PI in about 8 funded research projects. He edited two books in Peer-to-peer and Wireless sensor network fields. Currently he is editing a book titeled "Deep Learning and Big Data for Intelligent Transportation: Enabling Technologies and Future Trends".
