I was born in Iasi, Romania. I have obtained PhD in 1996 with a thesis entitled Parallel structures used in Digital signal processing. Between 1999-2001 I was a postdoctoral fellow at Concordia University Montreal Canada where I have been invited again in 2002 and 2005. I have published more than 80 papers in important journals and conferences at most of them been the first or single author. I am an author of 5 books. In 2013 I have obtained the title of PhD Habil . I am reviewer at IEEE Trans. on Signal Processing, IEEE Trans. on Circuits and Systems, Part.I and II, IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Transactions on VLSI, IEEE Access, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Electronic Letters, IEE Proc. on Visual, Image, and Signal Processing, IET Signal Processing, IET Circuits, Devices&Systems, ISCAS, MWSCAS, Circuits,Sistems &Signal Processing , Micro&Nano Letters,Parallel Processing Letters. I have obtained the Romanian Academy prize in 2005 and I am a senior member IEEE since 2008.
