Marina Ivasic-Kos is an Associate Professor at the Department of informatics, University of Rijeka. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb. She is the project leader of research project Automatic recognition of actions and activities in multimedia content from sports domain and principal researcher at project Knowledge-based approach to crowd analysis in video surveillance both funded by National Research Agency. She was involved in numerous business and computer science research projects as well as several ICT COST and Erasmus+ projects. She is a technical committee member and reviewer for numerous international scientific conferences and reviewer for high-cited journals like PR, ESWA, TFS. Her research interests focus on artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, computer vision, knowledge representation, and soft computing.
