Domain of Research: Humanoid Robotics and AI

I am a lecturer and researcher in AI and robotics. I consult for the UK government Office of Science (GOScience) and businesses and organisations internationally. My research in ML for robotic lip sync was listed in BBC Science's top 13 scientific moments of 2021. I was recently on the URKI 'robot talk' podcast and previously had a regular spot on BBC Radio as a robotics and AI commentator. My work on developing a Multimodal Turing Test received worldwide attention and was published in the Guardian and World Economic Forum. I am speaking at the United Nations, Global AI Summit in July and I am co-editor of a special edition in D&D - conversational AI for HRI. (www.carlstrathearn.co.uk)
