Dr. Fahim Khan has been working as an Associate Professor at Toyo University since April 2017. Prior to joining Toyo University, he had been serving as a Senior Assistant Professor at the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies, the University of Tokyo, from where he also obtained his MS and PhD in 2009 and 2012 respectively. Khan’s current research focus includes developing security measures for the Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical systems; and exploring the intersection of context-awareness and security in ubiquitous computing and smart environments. He is also investigating security, privacy and trust issues related to RFID, smartcards, smart and embedded devices – and emerging pervasive systems and applications. He is a member of ACM and IEEE. He is also a globally selected member of ACM Future of Computing Academy 2017 (ACM-FCA), an initiative which brings together next-generation leaders in computing to carry the computing community into the future.
