Bogdan Oancea is a Professor Ph.D. at the University of Bucharest, specializing in computer science, computational statistics, and mathematical modeling. He has extensive teaching and research experience, focusing on courses such as computer programming, big data technologies, machine learning, and computational intelligence. Bogdan Oancea has served as a short-term expert for the World Bank Group, contributing to different projects. He is also the Director of the Innovative Tools in Official Statistics Department at the National Institute of Statistics, leading research in AI, big data, and the integration of new data sources in official statistics production. Additionally, he advises Ph.D. candidates at the Technical University of Ostrava and has been an invited professor at Complutense University in Madrid. Bogdan Oancea holds a Ph.D. in Cybernetics and Statistics, a BSc in Economic Informatics, and a BSc in Physics. Proficient in multiple programming languages and technologies, he excels in scientific computing, big data, machine learning, and parallel algorithms. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is also an accomplished organizer of academic workshops and conferences.
