Rüdiger Pryss
Rüdiger Pryss is a professor of medical informatics at the Institute of Clinical Epidemiology and Biometry at the University of Würzburg and the Institute for Medical Data Sciences at University Hospital Würzburg. With over a decade of research experience at the intersection of medicine, psychology, and computer science, his work focuses on Digital Health, Ecological Informatics, AI in Medicine, Mobile Computing, and Medical Informatics.
He has developed more than 20 digital applications, including the eSano platform (co-development), which was used in PSYCHOnlineTHERAPY, one of the largest psychotherapy studies in 2021 involving digital interventions. Beyond academia, Pryss is active in politics and business, serving on the advisory board of the Bavarian Innovation Network for Health and co-founding a start-up that brings digital technologies into healthcare practices. As a member of the German DIN standardization group for AI in medicine, he also addresses regulatory issues, and his team develops digital health applications under the Medical Device Regulation.
