Niall is currently pursuing a PhD in Engineering by research at the Institute of Technology Tralee(ITT) in collaboration with the international company Dairymaster on 'The Development of intelligent multi-functional farm assistive modules for use on an autonomous platform'. Niall earned a M.Eng. in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering from ITT, a B.Sc. in Electronic Systems from Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) and a B.Eng. in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering from the ITT. His Masters by Research degree titled "The development of smart sensor suite and data fusion approaches for process analytical technology" was in collaboration with a Horizon 2020 project called ProPAT. Niall is the recipient for LIT Student of the Year President's Award 2015, the Stryker Orthopaedics Award for Overall Excellence in Engineering and The Patrick Flynn Engineering Award 2014.
