I am a professor of Software Engineering at the Autonomous University of Zacatecas (UAZ). My main topics of interest include: Software Architecture Software Composition Software Engineering Education My professional career includes positions such a postdoctoral researcher in the ABLE group at The Institute for Software Research (ISR) of The Carnegie Mellon University - School of Computer Science, associated researcher at the Center for Mathematical Research (CIMAT) and associated researcher at The National Laboratory of Advanced Computer Science (LANIA). I love learning and teaching. I hold the SOA Architect Professional and the ATAM evaluator certificates from The Software Engineering Institute and the Scrum Master Certificate from The Scrum Alliance. I have been a coach/consultant for software development teams in topics related to support the design and implementation of software architectures. In 2015 I coauthored one of the few books in Spanish on the topic of software architecture. In 2012 I founded the Summer School in Software Engineering in Mexico, which I still run each summer. Regarding volunteer work, I have served as a mentor for Startup Weekend Zacatecas and Hackathon of Campus Party Mexico. I'm a member of Epic Queen Zacatecas. I earned my PhD at The University of Manchester - School of Computer Science.
