Arash Habibi Lashkari is a Postdoctoral researcher on Cyber Security in the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Canada. His current research focus is cyber security, information and network security, traffic analysis, fuzzy logic, attacks, anti-attacks and malware detection. He awarded 2 gold and 12 silver and bronze medals in international competitions around the world. He also has published over 60 journal and conference papers. In addition he is the author of 9 books in English and Persian, on different security topics like cryptography and mobile communication. He was/is editorial and technical committee member in different international journals and conferences. Arash has supervised more than 30 undergraduate and graduate students’ dissertation as well. Dr. Arash has a mixture of academia and industry experiences. At first, he worked in industry as a programmer and systems analyst for five years in three companies and later on after joining to Microsoft MCSE professional team, he started to work as a network designer and administrator for another five years in five International companies. Since 1995 his academic experiences has started also as instructor in computer programming languages. After joining to the UM university in 2008, he started his research and development activities in computer security. During last ten years he was research assistant in three international universities and also worked as full time and part time lecturer in computer science and security departments in Olympia University, Anglia Raskin University (Cambridge/Chelmsford), LUCT University, IAU Electronic Campus, and University of Nottingham.
