Telmo Miguel Oliveira Adão is the current CVIG development coordinator (Computer Vision, Interaction and Graphics) at the Computer Graphics Center (CCG), University of Minho, Portugal. He completed his PhD in 2015 in Computer Graphics, in the field of Procedural Modeling, and sums around 10 years of experience in R&D projects in areas that include Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality, procedural techniques for the automatic or semi-automatic generation of virtual structures, Remote Sensing using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and Machine Learning, Digital Image Processing and Computer Vision and IoT / Distributed Computing in the context of mulsemedia. His scientific work extends to the areas of outdoor navigation, human-machine interaction, Deep Learning in agriculture / forestry, push media and multipurpose multimedia applications. He has experience in implementing mobile applications and Web development. He has know-how related to training and applying neural networks for classification and objects segmentation, in images. Recently, he became a research collaborator of ALGORITMI Center. He is an invited professor at the University of Minho and at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, where he teaches courses related to computer programming.
