Long Cheng is currently working as a consulting engineer at Hitachi ABB Power Grids. Before that, he worked as a power system consultant at Pterral Consulting, a research scientist at Kiwii Power Technology Corporation, Troy, NY, USA, and a data scientist at Rang Technologies Inc, Piscataway, NJ, USA. He also previously worked at IBM Research China. His research interests include machine learning, data mining and signal processing. He received his Master’s degrees in both electrical engineering and applied mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA in May 2015 and his B.S. in electrical engineering and automation from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China in July 2013. He has been an Editorial Board Member for several international journals including International Journal of Information Technology, Modeling and Computing, and International Journal of Research Studies in Computer Science and Engineering.
