Attila Fazekas received his M.Sc.degree in Mathematics from the Lajos Kossuth University, Hungary, in 1992. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Lajos Kossuth University, Hungary, in 1999. In 2009-2013 he was the Chief IT Officier of University of Debrecen, in 2013-2019 he was the Vice Dean of Faculty of Informatics, University of Debrecen. Prof. Fazekas is a senior member of the IEEE, member of John von Neumann Computer Society, and Public Body of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He was the head of the Hungarian Association for Image Analysis and Pattern Recognition in 2007-2011. He has authored or co-authored more than 120 publications. His main interest lies in image processing, pattern recognition, and machine learning.
